By accessing or using BillFix ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

BillFix provides an online platform that helps users understand medical billing rights and generate template dispute letters, appeals, and related communications. We also offer educational content about billing errors, the No Surprises Act, charity care, and insurance appeals. All content and generated letters are for personal, non-commercial use only and are not legal, medical, or financial advice.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any commercial purpose or resale without our written consent
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload or transmit malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user data
• Scrape, automate access, or use the Service in a way that overloads or disrupts our infrastructure
• Use generated letters or content in a manner that violates applicable law or third-party rights

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for conduct we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.

Certain features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Paid plans and credits are subject to our pricing and billing policies. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy as stated at the time of purchase (e.g., on the pricing or checkout page).

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by BillFix or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content except as expressly permitted (e.g., downloading or copying your own generated letters for personal use).

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS FROM USING OUR LETTERS OR GUIDANCE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. WE ARE NOT A LAW FIRM AND DO NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE. CONSULT A LICENSED ATTORNEY FOR LEGAL ADVICE SPECIFIC TO YOUR SITUATION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BILLFIX AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
